Moving to another place is difficult. The first time I came to America, I felt so nervous. The place was strange to me, the different kinds of people were strange to me, the road was strange to me, and also the languages were strange to me. Those days, I felt very unhappy. I had no friends here, and my family went to work everyday. Last, I came to Adult School to learn English. And I could made friends here. I came here 4 months already. But I don’t feel boring any more.

Tell about one of your experiences looking for a job.

I went to a bakery to find a job last month. But the store owner said, I must speak English well. Actually, I'm a new immigrant, and my English is not very well. So, I felt sad those days. At last, I went to the Adult School to learn more English skills. I will try to study hard so that I can get a job easily.

Describe a delicacy you like or don't like, and tell you like it or don't like it.

I like eating Beijing roast duck. In the capital of China-Beijing, it was well known to many people, and the skin of the duck was made crisp. It is very particular to make it. If you never taste it, I think it is a good idea to have a try.

I think Michael Jackson's estate shouldn't help to pay for the police presence at and around the funeral.Michael Jackson is a very famous singer,and he has a lot of fans.When they heard Michael Jackson died, all of them felt so sad.So,maybe in the Michael Jackson's funeral, many people will out of control, I think the police should help to presence at and around the funeral.

The main drink in my country.

The main drink in my country is tea. We have many different kinds of tea, such as black tea,"wu long" tea, flower tea and so on. Chinese drink tea every day because they believe that drinking tea is good for our health. In the morning, people will go to the Chinese restaurant to drink tea with "dim sum".

The basic food in my culture.

Rice is the basic food in my culture. People always eat rice.They grew paddy on the farm.They eat rice with meat,vegetables for lunch and supper.Chinese also like fried rice. I think people can't live without rice.

Today's news includes several stories. A teenage girl is the only survivor of 153 in the crash of a plane and was found clinging to floating debris in the ocean. Another story is that South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford is refusing to resign over his marital infidelity,even though many people are calling for him to do so. A radio commentator remarked this morning that there is a blurring nowadays of the line between right and wrong.
Also in the news is the fact that this is the first day of the fiscal year,and California still does not have an approved budget. The government says it will have to send out I.O.U's tomorrow.

If this is your first celebration of the forth of July,what do you expect to see, hear, taste,semll and feel on this holiday?

This is my first celebration of the forth of July in the United States. Independence Day is a summer holiday.On that day, I will go to the beach with my family.Hearing the people yell for the Independence Day day and smelling the beach may be wonderful. At night, we can go to see the fireworks. I think it will be a memorable day.

Why do you think some cultures try to force children to be right-handed? Do you think this is a good idea or not? Why?

I think some cultures force children to be right-handed, because people are used to using right hand. Or, maybe left-handedness is not allowed in some places. I don't think it is a good idea to force children to be right-handed, because some children are used to being left-handed.Children can choose to be right-handed or left-handed.

Why I decide to come to Summer School?

I decided to come to Summer School because I want to go to college next year. Before I go to college, I need to learn some English skills.That's why I come to Summer School.
